It’s racewear week here at Sneakypeek!

For the next week, we’ll be posting up sneaky spring racewear-related hints to make sure you’re the first fillies across the fashion finish line.

This year marks Myer’s 50th anniversary of Fashions on the Field down at Melbourne’s Flemington racecourse. But whether you’re entering one of the event’s outfit competitions or just trotting down for a cheeky bubbly with the girls, wearing a fascinator is a must.

And we think that there is nothing quite as fascinating as what a fascinator says about its wearer. So tell us, sneakies, what will your headwear say about you this spring racing carnival?

The Ribbon: (pictured: Alannah Hill) You’re whisked away by all that is whimsy, erring toward fashion that is young and fun. You prefer to make a sweet statement that is feminine but not outlandish.

The Pill: (pictured: Anne-Marie Faulkner Millinery)  You adore era’s past. Like you, the pill box hat is the ultimate in vintage glamour. Wear it with deep red lips and finger curled hair.

The Sculpture: (pictured: Anne-Sophie Coulot) You live for making a fashion statement and are willing to spend up on the avant-garde.  A lover of attention, you prefer hats that are sleekly sculptural and will always wear a head piece that is taller than it is wide.

The Bouquet: (pictured: Bundle MacLaren Millenary) You are etherial and understated. You’re not always the loudest lass in the bunch, but you’re enviably the most carefree. You love the smell of spring and would love nothing more than to spend the day barefoot, basking on a picnic rug whilst watching the horses race in the distance.

The Net: (pictured: PeepToe) You are dramatically dark and devilishly seductive. You adore the mystery of a dark horse in a race and would rather smoulder in the shadows whilst watching the race with a glass of red wine, than jump up on the tables with a bottle of pink bubbly.

The Wide Brim: (pictured: Anne-Sophie Coulot) You love a safe bet, both in the areas of hats and placing bets on horses. You’re a practical, grown up lady who doesn’t dilly dally with ridiculous trends. Sun safe and elegant- you know you’ll wear a sun hat more than a flowery fascinator.
